The Business Opportunities Committee is chaired by Charlie Harris, CEO Spindletop
MHMR. This Committee is a cornerstone of ETBHN. Different projects and programs
are explored and developed during these meetings. We have had nationally known and
respected speakers come in from around the country to speak on topics such as housing
and Fund Development in summit type meetings.
All projects are aimed at reaching out for new ideas of business that are in keeping
with the general mission of our Member Centers. Some of the current ideas and programs
being explored are:
- Autism Services
- Housing Services
- Fund Development
- Integration of Mental Health and Primary Physical Health
- Specialized Clinics
- Veteran Services
- Juvenile Justice Services
- Substance Abuse Services
- Home Health
- Ticket to Work Program
This is just a few of the ideas being explored and some are being implemented at
different Centers already. This Committee, also, has workgroups that are formed
on an as needed basis for grants, funding opportunities, and marketing/public relations.
